Award in Financial Reporting (FR)

Programme at a Glance

Welcome to the Award in Financial Reporting (FR), a programme built for anyone who wants to truly understand how businesses tell their financial story. Whether you're starting your accounting journey or building on existing experience, this programme takes you through the practical mechanics behind financial statements: how financial statements are prepared, why transactions are recorded in specific ways, and what the numbers reveal about a company’s financial health.

You'll get hands-on with IFRS principles, learn how to recognise and measure transactions the right way, and understand how companies, including groups of companies, report their financial position. Alongside the technical know-how, you'll also develop the judgement and ethical grounding every finance professional needs, so you're not just reading numbers but understanding the story behind them. This course gives you the practical foundation to pursue entry-level roles in accounting, finance, or audit support, or continue your learning through further study.
